Biosketch

Gabriele is a research scientist interested in the development of acquisition and reconstruction MR methods. 

He did his doctoral studies at the University of Lausanne (CH) and continued with a post-doctoral training at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA, to mainly focus on motion compensation for coronary artery disease imaging. 

Recently, he joined Siemens Healthineers in Bern (CH) to expand on methods for quantitative MRI and ultra-high field MR. As on-site industry partner at the Translational Imaging Center of the Swiss Institute for Translation and Entrepreneurial Medicine (sitem-insel), he also supports various collaboration projects within the University Hospital of Bern.

Gabriele has authored and co-authored more than 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals of the field and has won several research awards, including the “Magna cum laude” award at the Int. Soc. Magn. Res. in Med., the “Passariello” award at the Soc. for MR Angiography, and a post-doctoral fellowship from the American Heart Association.
